mikejson 35 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 Got a 2014 Strikemaster Solo and I've isolated the problem to a gas tank overfill issue. These are the tanks that have no breather cap, but have a 1 way inlet breather line on the tank. It's located about 3/4 of the way up the tank. If I fill the tank so the gas is above the breather line, it dies at full throttle. Seems like it just isn't getting enough gas... idles fine, half throttle fine, but full throttle is ramps up the RPM and then dies right out. Think I'm on the right track? Cant run it with the gas cap loose cause these idiots made the cap at a 90 degrees when you are drillin so the splashing of gas makes it piss gas everywhere... Thoughts? Some Old Guy 968 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 Breather lines will get soft and collapse. Happened on my auger and chainsaw. Just replace it and you'll be good to go. Roger Quote R.T.R. Respect the resource!
