The 2017 Shebandowan Smallmouth Showdown Bass Tournament is a go for the weekend of July 15^th and 16^th.  For this year’s event, registrations will be accepted on and after Wednesday, February 1st, 2017.  The entry fee is $350.00 per team.  I encourage you to mail your completed entry form asap, along with the entry fee in the form of a cheque or money order, to North Country Cycle & Sports, to their address which is on the bottom of the entry form.  Or you can even drop it off at NCCS and pay by credit card or debit.  They will even take cash.  Please ensure that as much as possible is filled out on your entry form.  You will be issued a receipt if you pay direct to NCCS.    To verify that your entry sent by mail has been received, you can check on the teams list on the website www.ssshowdown.ca  The Teams List will be updated regularly.  Remember, the first 75 teams get put on the Teams List, after that a waiting list is compiled.

Draw date for day one starting positions will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, February 27th, 2017 at North Country Cycle & Sports, 1164 Rolland Street, Thunder Bay.  Further announcements about draw night will be forthcoming as the date draws nearer.

As started last year, the first team drawn for day one starting position will actually be the second team to start on day one.  But, for $20.00 a chance, your team can be entered into a draw that will take place at 10:00 am Saturday, April 1st, 2017 at North Country Cycle & Sports here in Thunder Bay at 1164 Rolland Street.  You are welcome and encouraged to come to NCCS for the draw.  The winning team will be the first team to take off on Day One of the SSSBT.  Talk about improving your odds eh!  And while at NCCS you can pick up whatever supplies you may need to get that boat ready for open water.

You may be thinking, why don’t I just add $20.00 to my entry fee and be done with it.  Well, yes you may.  However, no refunds on the $20.00 chances will be given.  Be sure to check off the box on the entry form that you have included $20.00 for the draw.  You can purchase as many $20.00 chances as you wish up to the time of the draw at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 1^st, 2017.  An asterick (*) will appear beside your team’s name on the Teams List for each of the $20.00 chances that you purchase.
