We had our opener this weekend. The fishing was very good! Almost dumb fishing, 3' to 11' seemed to be the magic number. Nothing more than dragging a 1/8 oz. jig with a nice Silver Shiner. Saturday and Sunday we had some good couples up (30 year friends)

With the great weather (sun burn) it was a pleasure to fish a great lake with great people.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon.

Sounds like a great time being on the water with the wife and friends on Mother's Day.  Our group found the walleyes in 4' using minnows with 1/8 oz weight in front of a float or just running silver spinners.

After the hammerhandles decreased our rigs, had to change over to Rapulas with a 9" wire leader.
