Deer Blind 2018

Recommended Posts

Getting a jump on the season with a new box blind. We built it 6x6x6. Should be enough room for two now! Got the exec chair to go with it :)

Good tip. I've had a blind there for some time so the deer are habituated to a building. Wasn't going to get too crazy with the paint. In fact when I was working on it, deer were coming in and checking out the commotion 😊

Nice job, not sure what your plan is for the interior is but you might want to carpet the floor and walls because as it sits, it is an echo chamber.

Office chairs are good for a bit, but after a while sitting in the weather they start to get noisy.

Yup...going to carpet the walls and floor...or put up empty egg cartons or something.

Think about putting a couple of shelves in your blind and of course carpet on it .You can put some stuff out on the shelves for easy access.

Trying to save space so I put in several 2x4 cross pieces between the wall studs to use as shelving. Hopefully won't need much more than that.
