tgamache 1 Report post Posted March 13, 2019 With the amount of rain coming, is the event at risk? If so, can we expect an announcement on here or somewhere saying it's on or off? Not a super experienced ice fisherman, so not sure what this amount of rain might mean.
AB 98 Report post Posted March 13, 2019 Expect an update on the conditions in this or the Black Bay conditions thread on Friday evening about an hour after dark. Expect wet conditions, water proof rubber boots are going to be the best defense. With the number of holes that will be drilles and the weight of saturated snow on the ice it could start out okay and go downhill during the day. Gary has been trying to pack down the area as best he can with the bearcat, but mother nature is reminding us she is the boss. On the flip side, if it freezes up tight, creepers under the boots might save a strained groin. AB
