ottoman82 41 Report post Posted February 12, 2019 I'd like to try out Little Trout Bay but I would be on foot. Is it worth the drive and is it possible to hook into lakers on foot? Cheers
Nnev 70 Report post Posted February 12, 2019 I was out the week before the snow and there was solid black 14 inches of ice as far as you can see. Not sure what it looks like after the snow. We walked out just past the opening to cloud bay and hooked into 1 laker in a short time.

I walked out roughly 1km to the center of the bay. Check the navionics app, there is an underwater point that jets out into deeper water. Last mark on my screen marked twice as big as this fish did.

It is under 1 foot but is hard packed on top. My guess was the freezing rain and winds helped out a bit. I walked out to the center of the bay and stayed mostly on the skidoo tracks. I measured 18" of ice. Cheers
