Went out by the dam on Sunday, saw 4 chinook break the surface but they weren't biting on anything. Left skunked along with the 4 other boats from what I noticed when I was there. rceme74 20 Report post Posted September 5, 2019 Went up for a look see. Plenty of boats, but didn't see much action. One gent said they caught two. Other than that there was very little movement on the river. Watch lots of Specs jumping, chasing flies on the surface, but that was pretty much it. It was however a nice day for a boat ride with my daughter, her first trip on the Nipigon River. She was more interested in the Eagles flying about. Maybe give it a go next week. rceme74 20 Report post Posted September 6, 2019 Did not see any. Mostly Specs thrashing about the surface. Generally, pretty quiet.
Porkchop21 34 Report post Posted September 7, 2019 Was out Thursday evening and Friday morning. No bites for us and only saw 1 salmon break the surface, didn't see anyone else land one. Very slow.
rceme74 20 Report post Posted September 8, 2019 Went to LTB this morning, started out nice. Marked a number of fish just off the bottom around 65 ft. Then the winds blew with gale force to turn it into a nasty morning. We did one small Coho, and one good smash, but that was all. One other boat managed to get one in before they too called it quits.
