Has anyone been out this weekend?  Looking for ice conditions since all this warm weather.  I am looking to head out tomorrow morning.

Cheers

Was out yesterday, lots of ice. Just be careful passing the ice ridge seems a bit sketchy. But conditions were great.

Do a Google search of Silver Harbour Conservation and it will pop up. Basically off Lake Shore road. Big parking lot. Lakers out deep, whities between the mainland and island and herring below the ice. Good luck.

Any more updates on the conditions? Is it walkable or should I bring the sled out?

Was out yesterday lots of good solid ice still and a few good spots to cross the ridge, fishing was good.

I was out yesterday and was out in the 100 FOW area with plenty of ice and no slush.  There is a light snow covering with plenty of bare ice spots so sleds should do fine. Fishing was great with 5 lakers and a few others that did not bite.

Cheers

has anyone been out in the last day or two? The ridge was kinda iffy last weekend some dangerous spots along most of the ridge, wondering how long the ice will hold up for I imagine it won't be safe much longer.

Was out on Wednesday around 11:00 and fished for three hours. Had one on and lots of hits. Marked fish on  the bottom at 65 feet. 18" of solid ice. Open water out east of us. Hope we will still have safe ice out there until  March break. pressure ridges are solid now. Good fishing.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!!

The one bobber down posted I use for ice checks on the big bays and I use the FishOnline website by the MNR for the most update/highest quality sat photos for checking roads and access points.

This was on March 22 so I’m assuming there wouldn’t be any left or look close to the same
