Thefishleclair 175 Report post Posted February 6, 2020 (edited) If yer fishing for lakers on Jessie the season is not open until Feb 15 to my understanding. Unless it’s another jessie lake in the regs. Jessie Lake (49°11’20”N., 88°19’53”W.) – Purdom Township • Dead Rainbow Smelt may be used as bait or possessed for use as bait • Brook Trout - S-1; must be greater than 56 cm, and C-0 • Lake Trout - open from February 15 to March 15 and fourth Saturday in May to September 30 • Northern Pike - S-4 and C-2; none between 70-90 cm, not more than 1 greater than 90 cm Edited February 6, 2020 by Thefishleclair 2 Quote Grumpas' Baits Check it out on FB

Black 1 Report post Posted March 12, 2020 Any recent update on both the fishing and the ice on Jessie? I'm hoping to try for both lakers and burbot there. What depths are people finding fish?
Zackcorbin1401 542 Report post Posted March 12, 2020 20-40ft you are in the burbot Zone I have caught most of mine in 29-30ft. 30+ Is laker territory With my preference being 75ish but caught in as little as 25. I havent been out in a week or so so I’m not sure on the ice conditions
James01 223 Report post Posted March 12, 2020 Last weekend there was no slush, and about 12'' of ice. No Lakers, but caught Ling (I posted a photo). Action was slow, but never fished Jesse before, so I had little idea where to go. I want to get out there at least once more this season. Good luck! Zackcorbin1401 542 Report post Posted March 12, 2020 When you time it right you can’t keep them off your line. Smelts are a key bait for both species
