Guest truth70 Report post Posted January 5, 2008 I have compelted both of these courses and passed them both but do i still need to get the small vessel licence to operate a boat 14 feet with a 20 hp as the course covers this size of boat in thee course?????? please help as i do need to no for the up coming season for personal use as well as guiding use ???? Guest MNR Report post Posted January 11, 2008 MNR Answer: Yes, even though the Med A3 requires a superior level of competency, you still need a Pleasure Craft Operators Licence to operate a 14’ with a 20hp for personal use.
