Salmon?

Recommended Posts

pastor norm

Was out yesterday afternoon after I launched at Portage Road.   Water temps were from 59 degrees to 52.5 degrees at Silver Islet.  Water colour was pretty good.  Marked plenty of fish deep with a few up in the first 30 feet.  Bait was scattered near the bottom.   I trolled 20-30 feet down on the downriggers.  Just three large lakers on moonshine spoons and a couple pop-offs.  There were a few boats out there, I am guessing they were north in the bay.  I went south to check out Silver Islet.    No salmon.

We were out Saturday Between Grey and Cranberry and surface temps averaged 48-52 degrees

Picked up one 5 lb salmon at 25 ft

We boated about 15 LT all around 4-6 lbs, kept 4

Some guys at the north end had a little better luck but was slow as well
