James01 223 Report post Posted July 9, 2020 Hoping someone has experience with roof top tents … experience that they would like to share. I am talking of the sort that sit on top one's vehicle, or on a rack above a truck's box. I am quite interested in them, but have never used one - or, even seriously checked them out. I have a lifted FJ, and I like the idea of heading into the woods and sleeping up off the ground. The most apparent negative I see is losing the ability to carry my canoe on the roof rack - that, and maybe falling out of the roof top tent after a few 'pop'.
