I broke a snowshoe trail starting from the flagging tape. I don’t see any reason why with some effort an ATV/Snowmobile trail couldn’t go in. There’s only a couple areas that would need a bit of attention to get past.

There were some pretty neat terrain features on the way up. 59B50FE1-DB04-41A2-BB18-6DD91598D5C5.thumb.jpeg.26ff4db1c73fab631ca33678acab9f67.jpeg

The water falls are pretty neat in there eh.

The first bit of the trail will be the tricky part to find the best possible route.

I also thought the "new" trail could go in at the end of the road and up to Dufault then us the existing trail over, but would make it much longer.

That would be a good motorized option, depending what exactly the terrain looks like on the short route once the snow melts.

Anyone know if there’s been any progression on the trail, or a work date set?

There has not been any progress on the trail. I believe we are waiting on the MNR to assess the parking situation before they will approve the work permit.

Plus building a trail in the bush right now with all the bugs would not be fun!
