Fishog 215 Report post Posted October 17, 2022 The earliest for me was Nov 4th on Whitefish lake. 4-5 inches of ice. Some finlander drove his car on the ice and I left after that. Not that dumb anymore. I will wait some weeks for better ice conditions.

AB 98 Report post Posted October 21, 2022 Small bays and creeks on Dinorwic Lake east of Dryden had ice on them on Wednesday. I was fishing it a week before and the surface temp was 53F! Lots of the small potholes between Upsula and Ignace were 50/50 ice to open water on Thursday morning. A couple of nights that get down to -10C are gonna make things happen pretty quick. Give us one more nice weekend before we need to start thinking about ice safety! AB

PkdR 11 Report post Posted December 9, 2022 I would assume highway 811 would be plowed. But does anyone know if some of the side roads are plowed too? Like Almon, Kennah or Dog? ..any insight would be nice before heading that way. thank you very much.

Sometimes yes sometimes no, after a fresh snow I’d wait a few days…most likely just the main road aswell , we have allways had to sled kennah.
