eyelander 164 Report post Posted November 4, 2006 Too bad your moose hunting plans went out the window Moose, but deer are nice also. Got out this morning for deer with my bud and his dad. Were waffling last night about where to go until we checked wind direction. OK, lets go "here". 40 min. in 3 rapid shots, from by buds dad's direction, but it wasn't him, darn. Half hour or so later, one shot, closer, had to be him. Turned on the radio and he comes on and says he got one. Yippee. Spike buck with brow tines, but not a bad sized deer at all. Hooves were pretty large compared to his antlers, he must come from good genes. For the just over 3 hrs. we were out, we heard 5 other shots nearby, they must be on the move.
