Guest SSS DRAW MONKEY

Here are the Final Standing for the 2008 Shebandowan Smallmouth Showdown.

The entire SSS Committee thanks all those that participated this year, as well as the invaluable volunteer crew that helped us out at the Event Site.

The SSS Committee is now going to take a well deserved break from the SSS action, and will announce on this website (in the near future), when we plan on opening up registration for the 2009 Event. And, on that note, the Committee has already spoke about a date, and chances are that the 2009 date will revert back to the 3rd weekend of JULY, as it had been in the previous 3 years. This year we had to bump the Event up one week due to scheduling conflicts.

So, for the SSS Committee, we thank you and hope to see you next year. Oh, and WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! (More on that later)

The SSS Committee Are: GORD ELLIS, SANDRO FRAGALE, TOM FRIDAY, ROGER MAYER, DAVIS VIEHBECK. (Davis Viehbeck is one of the Founders of the SSS, and unfortunately no longer with the SSS Committee. His contributions to this year's Event were integral, and he will be missed.)

Guys:

This event continues to grow and I'm proud to have been a co-founder of the SSS and to have had involvement through to this year. The downside to the SSS is that the organizing committee is made up of diehard tournament anglers who would much rather be fishing tournaments than running tournaments (I had a tournament in Fort Frances at the same time as SSS this year). As demonstrated at the recent AYA Thunder Bay and many other tournaments, a team of dedicated, reliable volunteers is needed to ensure the successful future of tournaments. I've said it at the rules meetings in the past and I'm sure it was said again this year; WE NEED VOLUNTEERS if the SSS is going to have a future. Please contact Roger Mayer or Tom Friday if you're interested in being a part of the SSS organizing committee.

Thanks

-Davis V.
