this years archery buck 2008

kinda had a crappy hunting season this year....so I was glad to connect with a nice animal

I had already passed up 8-9 different young bucks that had lots of growing left to do... with the help of my trail camera I was able to weed out the younger bucks knowing I had bigger deer in the area.. all that had to happen was for one of them to walk by while I was in my stand

saturday I saw this 10 pointer and made a really crappy shot on him( turned out I centered the liver upon post mortom inspection) at first there was great blood and was expecting an easy tracking job.. boy was I wrong, the blood trail had gone from spraying blood to only a pin head of blood every 50 yards meaning he was bleeding internally... this buck managed to walk an easy 600- 700 yards before he died... I actually didn't find him till the next morning

Some good eating there Grouseman. Don't be surprised if the meat taste like "NIBLETS" All kidding aside Grouseman, nice buck and well deserved. For those of you who don't know Grouseman, this guy lives and breaths hunting and the bush. His dedication is second to none and he works hard for all his success. Good for you Grouseman another successful year.
