Davis Viehbeck 25 Report post Posted December 24, 2008 Chances are you're dealing with LYMPHOCYSTIS, a common viral disease of fish that causes cellular enlargement (warts). These aren't permanent on fish and the duration of the infection is dependent on water temperature, the species infected and several other variables. It's quite common in the spring during the spawning period when walleye are in close contact. -Davis Viehbeck
