Deep snow sledding

Recommended Posts

Jayfishin

I was out breaking trail on friday with my 2000 Polaris 700 sks and found that the engine started to bog after alot of snow covered the hood and inside of the windshield where the air intake resides. After I stopped and brushed off the hood, cleared the hood vents, and then cleared the air intake screen & filter in my dash that the sled would run perfect again. I am assuming that the snow covered air intake vent was the main culprit but wondering if anyone else has had similar performance problems and what might remedy the situation? I already have mesh covering the hood openings but the way the snow swirls around and builds up in my dash is a problem. Ideas?

Thanx in advance

Jay
