Chapleau Pike derby was a blast.....

Thanks guys for all the advice about pike fishing. We ended up 4th in the derby. We were in 2nd place with an hour to go but 2 fish came in to knock us down to 4th. The winner was 5lbs. there was less than 1 pound between 1st and 4th. We won 1,000 dollars. Going again next year as it was fun.

Good for you Hardcore!!! Are you thinking about going in the Wawa Derby for lake trout and white fish. I see they have excellent prizes over that weekend. I was thinking about going in it myself. It should be a blast.

Thanks Fishinbuddy. I do have friends who go to the Wawa derby and I was checking it out today. I don't think that I will go this year but we are going next year. I like that the Chapleau derby is cash prizes. If you go to Wawa bring a truck in case you win.
