Guest MNR Report post Posted March 9, 2009 MNR Answer: Non Residents of Ontario may hunt antlered deer only in Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 12B with archery equipment only from the Saturday closest to September 17 to the third following Friday, in any year. Non Residents must employ a licensed guide if they are hunting within the Territorial District of Rainy River. Two or more non-residents hunting together shall not hunt deer or moose without employing at least one guide for each two non-residents. There is a portion of WMU 12B that does extend outside of the Territorial District of Rainy River and into Thunder Bay District. The eastern boundary of the Territorial District of Rainy River in WMU 12B is the eastern boundary of Quetico Provincial Park. See the Hunting Regulation summary at www.mnr.on.ca or for a detailed map of 12B click on the following link: http://mnronline.mnr.gov.on.ca/Document/Vi...chment_id=23457 There is no open season for deer for non residents in Wildlife Management Unit 12B during the gun season. (Saturday closest to October 8th to December 15th)
