DJL66 5 Report post Posted August 17, 2009 Had the same problem with my Lund seats a few years ago, nearly took my back out trying to get the bow seat loose. To solve this problem I took some fine grit sand paper and sanded the seat base (post hole) out a fraction, then added some WD40 and this took care of it. Hope this helps, Don
Guest Walleyeguy Report post Posted August 17, 2009 I spray the posts and the base with a little pledge. I also use a quick grip clamp to push the tit in while I pull the seat post out of the base. Much much easier.
Guest terminal tackle Report post Posted August 17, 2009 i had the same problem,i had to take the base off the floor and knock the seat out with a rubber hammer.I then used a dremmel tool to reem out the base hole alittle and now no problem.
NWO 23 Report post Posted August 18, 2009 Yes....the seats have vapor lock.....heat and moisture causes them to get stuck. I've done the WD40 trick as well, and a good power tool on the pedestal for some vibration should loosen it up.
