Guest drted Report post Posted December 7, 2009 2009/12/07 Just got a call this morning regarding ice thickness at Lac... Apparently the ice is about 4" thick and with this cold weather forecast for the next week it should help stiffen things up...

68camaro 1 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 I'm sure by this weekend there will be 6+ inches and people will start to venture out. However, I'll wait until the 18th or until there is a solid 11 or 12 inches before I will head out.

Castnblast 86 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 Hi Lund...nice job, sweet shack. Where are the holes? - can't see them in the pix. If you get time, you should post some construction detail and in-progress shots. I'm sure there would be interest in the process. Also tell us about the guest house on the float. I'm guessing it's for the genni and crapper etc. Anyway, nice work. cnb
Lundy 9 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 Sounds good Larry! The shack is 10x16 and there is three holes inside (you can see the dowels sticking out of the walls with the reels below them). I don't really have too many pictures of it being built. The second shack is actually my dad's and it is half wood/generator shack and the other half is a small sauna. He had a 6x8 wood shed before that I have recently aquired
Travis Schallock 28 Report post Posted December 9, 2009 I hear Lundy built the whole shack with an air hammer and brass punch attachment. I hope you threw that 9lber back. Quote Travis Schallock Nakina Fish and Game Club - President

68camaro 1 Report post Posted December 15, 2009 Anyone hear any updates from Gary and their quading trip on the ice this weekend?? Gary said the ice is NFG! The thickness varies and he said it was unsafe. I think it will be ready this weekend with all this cold weather we're having.
