Thanks for fixing my trolling motor this summer. I have a another problem with it. Everytime I am I make a adjustment speed, direction it beeps. Horrible noise. Don't know if anything can be done besides take a sledge to it on a windy day.

That noise sure can make a quiet day of fishing rather annoying. Especially if you are fishing current where you have to change directions and speed frequently.

I have asked this same question before on a number of message boards. I even asked the manufacuter and they said there was no way to turn off the beeping. The best answer I had was to open up the head and put some silicon on the speaker to muffle the sound. The guy that answered me said he did it and it worked well.

I never tried the silicon my self. I would have had the main circuit board not gone in my motor. Let me know what you end up doing just in case i repair mine.
