Therefore to clarify the answer; hunter orange head cover (an approved helmet in this case as mandated by the Off Road Vehicle Act) is required if you are hunting while operating the ATV.

Why is the law not enforced? Whats the use of having a law if its not going to be enforced. I have been stopped a couple times by CO's over the years while hunting on my atv. Been asked for hunting license, registration, insurance and had my rifle checked for rounds. I was never told i couldn't wear my black helmet or ticketed for wearing it. Have also talked to other guys since this thread was posted weeks ago and they report similar encounters.

All CO's can't be colored blind?
