stocked lakes??

i was just wondering when the mnr stock all the spec and splake lakes?? do they do it in the spring or fall or all throughout the summer?? any info would be great.

Slowey, I read it before in that stocked lakes guide..........I thought it said the fall but I cant remember for sure

I have the list for Nipigon area and it seems like they do alot of stocking in the spring around here and late in the year I think it has to do with the mortality factor

they do the stocking in late winter early spring, usually in April. The fish have a better chance at surviving when the water is cold. they dump brood stock in after they are done with them at the hatchery usually early winter.
