Guest 247fishnhunt Report post Posted March 10, 2010 I am just throwing this out there if anyone has been successful on the first day of squeers and doesn't have a full party or needs a substitute I need spots for three guys. I have a friend flying up from southern ontario and we were both unsuccessful in the draw and really hoping on fishing the first day. If this is at all possible to arrange please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated.
Big Guy 116 Report post Posted March 10, 2010 This is not about having room with my party for the Squeers fishing week, but, if this warm weather continues the way it is, does everyone think that Squeers will even happen this year?

I know normally people use snowmachines to get in to the lake, does anyone think that a quad can get in there?

There is a hill that might be a bit of a problem coming out but guys used quads last year.
Slick_Jig 6 Report post Posted March 10, 2010 You need to get a good run at the hill, other than that a quad is the way to go this year. Ive been in there the past three years with my quad, no worries Quote Gone Fishing Men and fish are alike. Mr. Canoehead 69 Report post Posted March 10, 2010 How about my little suzuki 4x4? It's like a quad.. But seriously, how wide is the trail? Thanks. John
fishingfinn 42 Report post Posted March 11, 2010 The trail is plenty wide enough for a quad. The MNR has a cabin out there where the guys conducting the study stay...maybe they have some info on the trail leading in? I remember a few years ago guys were getting stuck in the mud with snowmobiles, I think it'll be quads only this year with the temperature we're having! Mr. Canoehead 69 Report post Posted March 11, 2010 I was actually wondering about using my little SUV. Someone has since told me it would be a bad idea, and best case scenario is that I would be unpopular! So I'll likely be walking. If anyone sees me hitch-hiking be sure to pick me up!
